Though uncooperative weather hindered the adoption of these supportive friends outside of Brainshare, they were a BIG HIT, especially with Novell technical staff. Another couple of hundred managed to get adopted by various Novell Support Connection Sysops and Novell Community Chat Irregulars (NCCI).

Also, keep an eye out for the few that managed to escape during Brainshare, as well as those on their quest to remind people why they installed NetWare in the first place and those in search of an equally stress-free alternative to NetWare. As for the rest, they are helping out around the office while awaiting their new home.

For now, we are encouraged that there are NUI groups interested in adopting some of these little guys. If you are an NUI group officer who has members willing to provide good homes to some of these friendly penguins (all are house trained and require minimal attention while providing great amounts of relief), E-Mail your group name, a mailing address and the number of members willing to provide a good home. Once we verify your group status, we will arrange for their travel. Any unadopted penguins remaining will be available for individual adoption.
